Want a flash website? Are you sure it's right for your business? In recent years, many people have been reluctant to build their websites in flash based on the fact that you couldn't optimise the site for search engines because the robots couldn't read the text in the flash. Well, this is no longer true. Google can now read and index any text that you put in your flash file (N.B. as long as the text hasn't been "broken apart" by the designer). It is possible to create a search-engine friendly website built entirely in flash, it just takes a bit of extra work.

"But it will take such a long time to load the flash swf files once it's on the internet", i hear you say. Well, flash is designed also to be a streaming program, if your flash file is built properly for optimal streaming you shouldn't have a problem. With high speed internet even video will load quickly now, as is illustrated in this great site that a friend of mine designed for a hamburger restaurant. Click on "English" on the right hand side.
